About Me
Romie is a Nepean based artist who has been producing window art for her home since 1986 and teaching it since 1999. She has appeared on CJOH on Regional Contact and in the Costco Connections magazine, and has taught countless workshops to adults through the Ottawa Carleton School Boards and in her home studio.
Leaded Window Art is a relaxing and therapeutic form of decorative art which borrows from the traditions of stained glass,but requires no cutting of glass or exposure to toxic fumes. The lead strip is applied to pre-cut acrylic sheets with a hand tool and transparent, water-based paints are applied with a paintbrush.
